I started in education as a special education aide at Rains Jr. High in 2010. In 2011, I student taught at Rains Intermediate and Rains High School in PE. After student teaching I taught at Fannindel ISD as a 7-12 science teacher. In 2014 I begin teaching 5^th grade science here at Cooper ISD.

I am married to Brandon Helms and we have 2 children and one to arrive soon. Our son Kayden will be in the 4^th grade here at Cooper. He loves sports, fishing, and riding horses. Our daughter Kelsie will be in the 2^nd grade here at Cooper. She loves cheerleading, and riding horses. We have 3 pets, our hunting dog Stone, and 2 black and tan dachshund Princess and Mr. Weenie.
